OUR USE CASES

Discover the impact of Kensu in the real world.

Use case 1

Killing costs and accelerating time to market for an Insurer with Kensu

Use case 2

Early adopters are using Kensu to discover costly, low-value, and bottle-neck processes. Kensu helps in eliminating Redundant, Obsolete, or Trivial (ROT) processes to gain business efficiency.

Our client was on the verge of losing revenue due to a lack of responsiveness to the market. Kensu detected a delay in the availability of the customers-360° information.

The owner of the customer data has been alerted. Using Kensu, we discovered that an important part of the customers-360° process was attributed to the inclusion of an old, cumbersome insurance policy.

This led to a postponed launch of a new product.

The business owner of the insurance policy knows that it reached its ‘end-of-life’ a couple of years ago. A new data flow needed to be set up.

The validation of this new data flow happens in Kensu. This way we guarantee that it doesn’t include any data from the old insurance policy.

Because of Kensu:

  • An acceleration of time-to-market for new insurance policies benefiting from the suppression of a processing bottle-neck and the rationalisation of the systems
  • A reduction of the operation cost of the database and files in the data warehouse
  • A reduction in the cost of maintenance of the processing system

Kensu’s proper change management process validated the removal process so there was no impact on the quality of the final results.

Use case 2

Our Retail Client Minimises Risk by not Breaking Data Protection Laws or Losing Brand Image

Use case 3

Kensu users detected and resolved disastrous situations occurring in their Enterprise Data Management which lacked the automated activities to perform precise Data Governance, naming Metadata Management, Data Quality Management, and Lifecycle Management.

Kensu provides a layer that prevents the storage and usage of data to drive flawed decision-making processes.

Not using Kensu could lead to business failures and even break data protection principles which could expose the enterprise to regulatory fines or, worse, the fall of brand loyalty. Any data your company stores can be used in as many valuable ways as your enterprise can benefit from.

That is the reason why data exists in several versions (e.g. anonymized), in an effort to reduce risks of privacy issues when manipulating original data in different environments although increasing data management and operational costs.

Our retail client retains data about its customers, originally, for contracting purposes, and one massive newsletter database for marketing purposes.

Because of Kensu:

  • The customers’ data, anonymized and relatively old from the so-called test environment, would have been used in production to initiate a worldwide marketing campaign, that is sending 100,000s of emails with promotional offers to individuals who in the meantime already converted. Consequences would have been a loss of brand image, fast-paced churns, and a dramatic decrease of placed orders.
  • Using sensitive information to conduct the second phase of the marketing campaign created unfairly biased segments which could have resulted in bad publicity on social media.
  • If not noticed in time, an error in the latest deployment of the CRM would have caused it to send invoices to the emails from the newsletter.

Using sensitive information to conduct the second phase of the marketing campaign created unfairly biased segments which could have resulted in bad publicity on social media.

Use case 3

Our Banking Client minimizes the loss of clients in specific segments to upcoming new banking brands.

Use case 1

In Banking it’s crucial to understand the market precisely, especially when it comes to segments. New competitors move incredibly fast. Due to new  products being introduced in the market some segments of our customer were therefor at risk.

With Kensu’s traceability features they have successfully transited their previous CRM system to their new one. This helped our client to keep an eye, live, on specific KPIs of each segment.

Once installed, very quickly, warnings showed up about the aforementioned market segments and highlighted a slightly yet worrying increase in the number of churns.

By analyzing the data available in Kensu about the quality of the data in use several potential root causes have been identified.Which helped the board to take the decision to initiate a new project to extend their offering and match these segments’ expectations to address future churns.

Moreover, Kensu is monitoring the efficiency of the new project on reducing the churn rate, but also to convert new customers from competitors not able to move as fast as they could.

Because of Kensu:

  • An acceleration of time-to-market for new insurance policies benefiting from the suppression of a processing bottle-neck and the rationalisation of the systems
  • A reduction of the operation cost of the database and files in the data warehouse
