We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Solution Engineering to join our team and lead our Solution Engineering department in this fast emerging solution category.
Position Overview
As the Head of Solution Engineering at Kensu, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and success by developing the Solution Engineering function. You will work closely with sales, customer success and product teams to understand customer needs, architect solutions, and provide technical guidance throughout the sales process. You will also be responsible for fostering strong customer relationships, ensuring successful product implementations, and promoting our platform's value proposition.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead and build out a team of Solution Engineers as the business grows, providing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities to enable their success.
- Solution Architecture: Collaborate with sales and product teams to understand customer requirements and design tailored solutions that address their unique data observability and intelligence needs.
- Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of Kensu's platform capabilities and emerging industry trends, serving as a subject matter expert to guide customers effectively.
- Customer Engagement: Develop strong relationships with key customers, ensuring their satisfaction and success with Kensu's solutions.
- Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to support pre-sales activities, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept engagements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to provide customer feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement of Kensu's platform.
- Documentation: Ensure that technical documentation and resources are up to date and readily available for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance metrics for the Solution Engineering team to measure effectiveness and efficiency as part of Kensu’s OKRs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven leadership experience in a technical sales or solution engineering role, preferably in the data management or observability space.
- Strong technical background with the ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
- Experience with data observability, data transformation tools or related technologies is a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and industry events.
